Press Release By The Team:

The Florida Everblades saw the Greenville Grrrowl stave off elimination by notching a power play goal late in the first overtime period to force a game four of the best-of-five South Division semifinal series.

For the second time in the series, overtime was needed to determine a winner. With the Everblades holding a 2-0 series lead, the Grrrowl found a way to remain alive in the series by notching a power play goal at 14:06 of the first overtime.

Jason Jozsa fired a wrist shot from the right point while Greenville worked their ninth power play of the game. Jozsa's shot glanced off an Everblades' stick on its way to the net and snuck past goaltender Phil Osaer just inside the left post, sending the Grrrowl bench spilling over the boards in celebration.

Prior to that, it was the goaltenders that dominated for the first three periods. Greenville netminder Jeff Deslauriers made 35 saves to earn his third win of the playoffs after taking the loss in first two games of the series. Osaer turned in another stellar performance for the Everblades by turning away 39 of 40 Greenville shots, but came up the tough-luck loser in game three.

With the win, Greenville remained alive in the semifinal series and forced a game four at the BI-LO Center on Saturday night.
